Mr. Chen Wenjian, a senior engineer, is President and Executive Director of CREC and CEO and Director of CRECG. He began to work in 1996. From January 2007 to September 2014, he served as General Manager of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Algeria Limited. From September 2014 to December 2017, he served as General Manager of the Overseas Business Department of CSCEC. From December 2017 to June 2018, he served as General Manager of the Overseas Business Department and Overseas Affairs Department of CSCES. From June 2018 to October 2018, he served as General Manager of the Overseas Affairs Department of CESCE and Chairman of CSCES International Operations. From October 2018 to March 2020, he served as General Manager of the Overseas Affairs Department of CESCE, Chairman of CSCES International Operations and Chairman of China Construction (South Pacific) Development Co Pte Ltd. From March to November 2020, he served as Chairman of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. Mr. Chen joined CREC in November 2020. From November to December 2020, he served as CEO and Director of CRECG. From December 2020 to March 2021, he served as President of CREC and CEO and Director of CRECG. Since March 2021, he has served as President and Executive Director of CREC and CEO and Director of CRECG. Mr. Chen graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University, where he majored in architectural and structural engineering and environmental engineering and obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Later, he obtained an MBA degree from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
