Ningbo-Taizhou-Wenzhou Railway is a part of coastal channel that belongs to the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" national railway network planning as well as the "four vertical and four horizontal" rapid transportation network. The total length of the railway is 282.393 kilometers, of which 274.12-kilometer-long railway is newly built. The construction section has a length of 57.125 kilometers and the construction period is from November 2005 to October 2008. Along the railway, the terrain is complex and the river system is diverse. Yandang Mountain Bridge of the railway won the second prize for scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Railways. Wuyanshan Tunnel and Dingtougang Grand Bridge the railway won Ministerial Quality Engineering Award.
