On June 12, the slurry balance shield machine "CREC Pingshandong-4", jointly developed by China Railway No.3 Engineering Group and China Railway Hi-Tech Industry, was successfully rolled off the production line.
Aiming at the difficulties of tunnel construction, the "CREC Pingshandong No.4" super-large diameter slurry balance shield machine has a cutter head excavation diameter of 14.31 meters, a total length of 122 meters, a total weight of 3848 tons and a total installed power of 9589 kilowatts. It carries a number of innovative technologies and provides technical support for the safe and efficient excavation of the follow-up shield machine.
The successful offline of "CREC Pingshandong No.4" shield machine marks that the 4th bid of Shenzhen-Shantou Railway is about to enter the stage of shield tunneling construction of the main line tunnel. The Shenzhen-Shantou Railway Project is located in Pingshan District of Shenzhen City and Daya Bay District of Huizhou City, with a total length of 125.52 kilometers, of which the tunnel shield section is 29 kilometers long, and the Guangdong Company of China Railway No.3 Engineering Group undertakes 9 kilometers of shield construction tasks.
