On May 24, the south main tower of Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge on Xingang Expressway, designed by China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance & Design Institute and constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, was successfully capped.
Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge of Xingang Expressway and its connection project are an integral part of the ring line of the Wuhan metropolitan area. With a total length of 35.043 kilometers and a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, the main bridge is a double-tower, single-span steel box girder suspension bridge with a main span of 1430 meters. The north bank of the bridge is located in Xinzhou District of Wuhan City, and the south bank is located in Huarong District of Ezhou City.
