On June 14, Peruvian President Dina Boluarte attended the arrival ceremony of the first batch of port machinery and equipment in Chancay Port and inspected the progress of the Chancay Tunnel Project of China Railway No.10 Engineering Group after the ceremony. Peruvian Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen, Minister of Transport and Communications Raul Perez, and Chinese Ambassador to Peru Song Yang accompanied the inspection.

President Boluarte expressed his appreciation for the construction level of the Chancay Tunnel, spoke highly of the participants' contributions, and expressed his gratitude for the cordial handshake with the staff of China and Peru.

Chancay Tunnel is located in Chancay City, Peru. The project includes one tunnel, one overpass bridge, 10 connecting main roads, maintenance of buildings affected by construction along the line, municipal sidewalks, etc. The length of the Chancay Tunnel is 1839 meters, the size of the overpass bridge is 492 meters, and the connecting road is 4766 meters. After the completion and opening of the project, the Pan-American Highway will be connected in series, which will play a positive role in further opening up the economic and trade links between Lima, the financial center of Peru, and Chancay Port, and in helping Chancay Port to become an important hub port on the South American continent and one of the most influential logistics centers along the eastern Pacific coast.
