On June 23, local time, the fourth stage of the Singapore Metro Thomson-East Coast Line, which The First Engineering Bureau of CREC built, was officially opened and operated.
Thomson-East Coast Line is the sixth subway line in Singapore. It is located underground and will be constructed in five stages, totaling 43 kilometers and 31stations. The first phase opened on January 31, 2020. The fourth stage is 10.8 kilometers long and has seven stations.
The First Engineering Bureau of CREC is responsible for the construction of 86 kilometers of monolithic track bed for the fourth and fifth stages of the Thomson-East Coast Line, the extension line of the third stage of the city central line (DTL), and the upgrading and reconstruction of the east-west line (EWL). The total length of the fourth stage of the Thomson-East Coast Line is 21.4 kilometers.
