After more than 800 days and nights of hard construction, on June 19, the Xuefengshan Tunnel (left tunnel) of Wulong-Liangjiang New Area Expressway, which was invested by China Railway Development & Investment Group, designed by China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group, and constructed by China Railway Sixth Group and China Railway No.8 Engineering Group, was completed, thus the whole tunnel of Wulong-Liangjiang New Area Expressway was completed.
Xuefengshan Tunnel is the longest tunnel of the Wulong-Liangjiang New Area Expressway, connecting Wulong District and Fuling District. China Railway Sixth Group is responsible for constructing the exit end, and the China Railway No.8 Engineering Group is responsible for constructing the entrance end. The left line of the tunnel is 4550 meters long, and the right line is 4559 meters long. The maximum buried depth of the left and right lines is 394 meters and 396 meters. The net width of the main tunnel is 10.75 meters, and the net height is 5 meters. It is a general distance-separated tunnel design with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
It is reported that Wulong-Liangjiang New Area Expressway is 36.72 kilometers long and has a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. It adopts the standard of a two-way four-lane expressway. After opening to traffic, the journey from Wulong to the central city can be shortened to one hour.
