A subway-themed sunken plaza built by China Railway Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd. in Nahong Neighborhood of Nanning, capital of southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was put into use on June 7. As part of the phase 1 project of Metro Line 4 in Nanning, the project is a subway-theme plaza completely designed by an international sister city.  

　　The decoration of the public area in the plaza carries on the theme of the Belt and Road Initiative adopted by Nanning’s Metro Line 4 and integrates a variety of cultural ingenuities. 3-D modeling technology was employed in the construction to make sure the design ideas became reality. The opening of the plaza will improve the quality of Nanning as a “green city,” enrich the functions of its urban oasis, and accelerate Nanning’s efforts of building itself into a livable city.
